Employment Opportunity:
Carpenter
Start Date April, 2012
DUTIES:
-Performing all aspects of carpentry related projects:
-
Retaining walls
- Decks
- Fences
- Garden structures (such as gazebos, arbours, benches, planters, etc.)
- Garden sheds
- Home renovations
- Site work (excavation using bobcat, tractor, excavator)
·Assisting in estimating equipment, materials, and labor for jobs.
·Working with and assisting other crews with the installation of stone/brick features, plantings, electrical, plumbing, etc.
·Completing the Daily Worksheet of equipment, materials and labor used.
SKILLS:
Competence around the use of hand tools and motorized tools used in
the carpentry industry
Includes saws, hammers, tape, level, square, chain saw, etc.
Experience with mini excavator
Experience installing sono-tubes and concrete formwork.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work physically for extended period
of time
Work experience in landscape construction.
EDUCATION/ TRAINING:
·Completion of high school.
·A journeyperson certificate or equivalent training and experience.
·3 to 5 years relevant experience in landscape construction.
·Valid Driver's License required.
·Valid First Aid Training.
