Back to Job Openings	Employment Opportunity:  Greenhouse Technician Start Date April, 2012 DUTIES:    -Carry out cultural practices such as watering, fertilizing, transplanting and potting under supervision of grower and as outlined in daily production schedule.    -Monitor ornamental crops for cultural problems daily.    -Monitor and participate in maintaining greenhouse environment as instructed by grower.    -Assist in moving plants and setting up retail yards.    -Assist in retail sales of plants by offering customers direction and plant information.    -Assist in maintenance of nursery stock including watering, weeding, pruning and potting. SKILLS, EDUCATION/TRAINING:    -Good knowledge of plant culture acquired through a combination of education and work experience.    -Valid drivers license.    -Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.
